They do help proc the OG Happiness Collector, if you want to farm cards that way though.įinally, archetype specific cards. With Greedon they help refund his cost, though outside of him I don't see them being too great. They are "free" bodies that you can swap out with Trapezist if you play her, so there's some value there.

VANGUARD PALE MOON FREE
OG Brassie Bunny and Miss Direction are more free calls when something else comes out of soul, but they are a 6k and 8k body respectively. However, he messes with your Grade ratios due to being a G0, so your rides may be less consistent if you run multiples of him. He also allows for the Denial Griffin plays if called by our G-Guards and Hoop Master (the Harri specific one calls a G2), and gains some additional power if you're going into Masquerade Master, Harri due to being a Magia unit. If you're not running these PGs, don't bother with Tricky Assistant defensively.Ĭat Knight in High Boots allows you to get another call whenever you call him, which allows you to call an extra unit during your offensive plays. Notably he's not able to do the Denial Griffin play when called off of our G-Guards, but he is able to off our G1 Perfect Guards due to them having the Magia keyword. Redstar Dualhorn is a bootleg (and significantly worse) Peryton, but he does fulfil a similar function and becomes an 11k attacker if called from the soul by a Magia unit. So now that you've chosen which card you want, what do you replace the other with? It really depends. Like most things Pale Moon, it's pretty contextual as to which is "better." However, if your deck is a bit slower and you want to farm cards (such as the Harri deck) running Peryton to help out with defense is helpful. Personally I think that, unless you have a really good reason, you should be running Trapezist. I think that the decision will be one part which Pale Moon deck you're playing (Nightmare Dolls, Harri, Silver Thorns, other), one part personal playstyle and one part what the deck needs. Peryton seems to still have most of his utility intact, however it appears (at first glance) to be mostly relegated to your defensive plays, such as our pseudo-Denial Griffin plays with Tricky Assistant. She's not as "army in a can" as she was before in conjunction with Peryton, but she's still fantastic. She can set up key units to your field, re-play "when placed" abilities and extend combos. Post ban list, it appears that Trapezist fulfils the same role as before. He also helped to fill your board in conjunction with Trapezist after a Masquerade Master, Harri turn, or just from scratch.

Trapezist was your offensive combo enabler, and Peryton allowed our pseudo Denial-Griffin plays defensively. The part that matters is choice restricting Purple Trapezist with Flying Peryton. There is also Visible Songster, but that deck was just. not relevant in Premium (it's only choice restricted to prevent a literal infinite loop with OG Trapezist), and as such won't be discussed here. I very may well be wrong about some things.įor those unfamiliar, Pale Moon now has a three-way choice restriction between OG Purple Trapezist, V Jumping Jill and Flying Peryton. They're my favorite clan and I know how they work, but I don't put in the testing that tournament grinders do. Keep in mind that I'm no Derrick Dao (a top-performing Pale Moon player, got top 4 in BSFO Premium in one of the regions), but I have been playing Pale Moon on and off since 2012.
